AP testing week 1: AB Calc and European History.
Good? Not calc, that's for sure. Euro may have gone well. Enviro is next week, and is just one reason I should have never taken that class.
School... ah, school. Now that calc and Euro are no longer real classes, each school day becomes a bit better. Now that we'll be watching an entire season of 24 in calc, I'm happy. If we get to watch Snatch in Euro, I'll be happier. Enviro, despite being an AP class, will be full of work because Vites doesn't understand the concept of mercy. Spanish continues to be boring, Brit Lit is just kind of there, though not at all devoid of problems, and Computer Logic & Architecture continues to proceed at a pace much too sluggish for me. Oh, and band is "the shit."
Out with the old/sluggish/depressing, in with the new/fresh/interesting. Fallout has begun, and it shall be interesting, indeed.
Still sitting around in a state of complacence, no social life to boast of but the wait for MBD (29.05.04) and The Format (03.06.04), both at Lé Metro.
Final stage of final exams at Polish School tomorrow, which'll be interesting. Speaking of Poland, here's my question to any of you Poles that read this thing (read: I'm talking to no one). What the hell is patriotic about wearing ridiculously oversized hats in red and white and draping the Polish flag around yourself like a cape? Is turning a flag into an article of clothing used to keep rain and mud off a person's real clothes really patriotic? Is novelty headware patriotic? WHY ARE SO MANY PEOPLE STUPID? In all seriousness, nothing is more depressing to me than the advent of 03.05 every year. Why? Because it identifies all the Poles in a ten-mile radius to me in the most depressing way possible: drinking, draped in red and white, and making large amounts of noise. Now, I really don't know what about the first democratic constitution in Europe induces drunkenness and hob-nobbery, but far be it from me to dictate what's right about patriotism. I just bitch about my country all the time and take the bait whenever my 'friends' insult Poland to get a laugh out of me. However annoying I am with my pro-Poland ramblings, however, I do not force it upon people in the most obnoxious way possible. Oh, no, that honor goes to 95% of Polish-American teens every Constitution Day. I'm even all right with just wearing red and white clothing, but DON'T DO NOVELTY CRAP. It's as annoying as people who wear american-flag jumpsuits and tophats on the Fourth of July, but even worse because as Poles, we've already got a negative stereotype, which WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO ENFORCE THROUGH A FORM OF PATRIOTISM THAT CAN ONLY BE DESCRIBED AS "IDIOTIC." Thank you.
I started rambling because I realized I hadn't updated in a hell of a long time, so I hope you enjoyed!
