Bitches 'n Whores [Bitchin' Horns]

Here's the lowdown. This last week has been a bitch and this upcoming week promises to be fantastic. Let me elaborate.
Over the last six days I have been working my ass off constantly. Seriously. The last week of school, which for most should have been a time of lounging around, ditching classes, taking various mind-altering substances and partaking of copious amounts of casual sex, was just an assload of work for me. Granted, it wasn't terribly difficult, but what does difficulty matter when the drudgery gets to you? I ended up skipping out on one job just because of the concert yesterday (which was about the only awesome thing this week).
In fact, let me elaborate on the concert now. Ravinia is one of the greatest places ever conceived by man. Being able to go have a picnic (or even a sophisticated outdoor dining experience if one so desires) and then ambling on casually over to the pavilion (or just remaining on the lawn area, lounging about, drinking your chardonnay and having a good time) to see the show is a fantastic experience. For this reason I have dubbed Ravinia "The Rich Man's Tweeter Center," although that doesn't do it justice. Saw Ben Folds and Rufus Wainwright yesterday there. Ben Folds was, in a word, scrumtrilescent. Wainwright was all right, but there were a few problems with the performance that made me fall short of calling it "great." The experience, though, is what was best, though.
Now that the week has been vaguely recapped, let me describe my summer to all of you. I'm:
Learning a year's worth of high school spanish (Level 4) in six weeks,
Spending four weeks to teach myself basic conversational German (so yes, there is overlap),
Working the internship with the City with JP,
Working a few scattered stage crew jobs,
Learning how to play the upright bass like a pro,
Initiating a rigorous exercise regimen,
Doing summer homework,
Possibly visiting family in Wisconsin Dells,
Hopefully going to have enough time to see friends, both those I normally see and those I have not or will not be seeing much,
Continue finding a fine young woman to win the heart of.
As you can all see, I have a crapload of stuff to do over the summer, a great deal of it work-based. Why I decided to make myself such a busy young man, I do not know. However, at least I'll... eh, whatever. Let's just hope I can see friends and go to a few concerts, and the rest'll be all fine.
