Burned yourself into the ground

And lo, how rockin' things are.

Tuesday was the last day of school. Plans to go to Field Day were eschewed in favor of being able to sit on our asses and watch a ton of movies. Because I rarely get to watch good films with such esteemed company, I jumped at the opportunity. I also forgot to check out an AP Psych book, but oh well. Watched several episodes of Monk, Die Hard (one of our company had never seen this wonderful piece of action cinema) and Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.

Wednesday, therefore, was my official "slacking off/not doing anything due to complete lack of funding" day. I did become re-acquainted with a little game called Thief: The Dark Project. Truly one of the best games in the history of computer gaming (no, I do not exaggerate one bit, for it was from the fabled Looking Glass Studios, paragons of fine gaming), Thief is difficult as hell but I keep wanting to play. Good times.

However, the slacking meant that Thursday, it was entirely necessary to do something vaguely social. I sallied forth from my home for a "Risk Day" with people. However, at the mention of the possibility of watching a film (roughly ten minuts into the game of Risk) I lost my taste for board games and wished to enlighten all. I ended up riding around with Ashish several places (and I got to hear the Presidents of the United States of America album in full). Eventually the movie was watched and a good time was had by all.

Yesterday I biked a total of 30+ miles. Yes, it was ridiculous. From my home to the lake, down the lake (with several detours through downtown) to Grant Park and the Taste of Chicago and back. The venture frustrated me somewhat, but I survived (despite getting home two hours after I initially told my parents I'd be home) and all was well.

What does the future hold in store? Pfft. Today's looking to be a work-filled day, tomorrow's looking to be a day of slacking. However, Monday looks rockin', Tuesday looks to be rockin' to the third degree, and beyond that I have no idea.

And dammit Russ, I want to be able to see into your thoughts, too! Give me a damn password!
