This school week turned out... interesting. On the one hand we have the relatively depressing news I got yesterday. This is coupled with a delightful surprise I was in for on the very same day. Today I came to school in formal wear... a bit of clarification: "Formal Wear Friday" was not so much a name as a quick description. To that end, it's something I'd rather not have advertised as "Formal Wear Friday" but spread out through sheer force of will. Now that that's been clarified, we can move on. Beyond a delightful physics class, a hilarious psychology class and a decent period of digital imaging, I was privy to a most entertaining (yet simultaneously horrific) event. A young girl (sophomore, most likely) approached by... well, let's not say his name; those with me at the time will understand, and for those who don't, it's a fellow who tries ever so hard to make every girl like him. To that end, watching him try ever so hard with this one girl was hilarious but painful. I believe the metaphor I used was "a majestic doe being constantly prodded with a really ugly/retarded stick." Perhaps not my most eloquent quotable, but most apt. Now that the stupid anecdote is out of the way, it is time to reiterate the hopeless situation stage crew is in. To put it bluntly, stage crew is in a hopeless situation with this fall production. The set is complicated beyond what a fall play's set needs to be. Long nights of carpentry will occur. Rushed painting will occur. Lighting will have to be rearranged, jeopardizing many other things. In short, a situation I do not relish. And now that we've done away with the stage crew-related complaints, I realize my ramblings are vapid and pointless. Hence, I depart for now. To conclude, this thing exists because I must stick with the layout (my best work yet) and it gives me a chance to flex my vocab skills (not writing skills, as those do not really exist). Auf Wiederzehen!
